Divorce Modification

When life changes, divorce agreements can too. Our modification attorneys can help guide you through the process to obtain the best possible outcome. It is common for a former spouse to want to change an aspect of a final divorce decree, especially regarding child custody arrangements, child support, and/or spousal support orders. While terms of a divorce agreement are binding, it is possible to change them in a “modification.” However, post-divorce modifications aren’t often easy and will only be considered if there has been a substantial change in circumstances.

Some examples of material or substantial change that would be grounds for a divorce modification include a change of jobs, financial circumstances, a change of address, and a change in the health of a parent or child. Schneider Law attorneys can help determine if you or a former spouse has reasoning for a modification and can lead you through the process.

What Our Clients Are Saying

"In the summer of 2013 I found myself visiting multiple legal firms in the FTW area. I was searching for the perfect person and firm to represent me. I was filing for custody of my very young daughter. When I met Melissa Swan, I knew that my search was over. She immediately had a game plan and made me feel very secure. Anytime I had a question, Priscilla and Jason made sure that it was answered in a timely manner. We spent less than a year, and after it was all said and done, I have primary custody of my daughter. I would say hiring Ms. Swan and Schneider Law Firm was one of the smartest decisions I have ever made."

"Family court is tough no matter what. Thank you all for the hard work and positive out come."

"Mike Schneider has been my attorney for five years. Having Mike in my corner is great peace of mind. He sets the bar high and surpasses it every time. If you need an attorney better call Mike!!"
