Matthew Jackson is a native of Fort Worth, where he attended Texas Wesleyan University for undergrad and graduate school.   Matthew has a genuine heart for helping people. He earned his Master of Science in Psychology from Texas Wesleyan University. He worked in the mental health field for under nine years before attending Texas A&M Law School.  Since his graduation in 2013, Matthew Jackson has been very committed to the success of his former Law School. He has remained active in his alumni community and has found ways to give back to the current students. Over the past few years, in addition to coaching mock trial for high schoolers, he has been coaching a mock trial team at Texas A&M Law. In his first year of coaching in 2016, his team advanced to the National Finals of the Thurgood Marshall Mock Trial Competition. His success in coaching young law students has continued even in recent years. Over the past six years of coaching, he has led his team to victory in competitions ranging from regional mock trials to national advocacy competitions.  Jackson is devoted to giving similar experiences back to the students of Texas A&M Law that he once experienced as a competitor in Mock Trial.

After completing law school, Matthew spent the first four years of his legal career handling mostly family law cases, then his desire to be in the courtroom more often led him to become a prosecutor with Tarrant County Criminal District Attorney’s Office.  During his time at TCCDA, Matthew has been a member of the Special Victim’s Unit, he helped develop the Prosecutor’s in High School Program, he has been a member of several committees and has provided Search and Seizure training to officers and misdemeanor prosecutors.  Now, Matthew has returned to family law with additional litigation skills to assist his clients with their cases.

The intentions of Matthew Jackson have always been reflected in his service. He didn’t seek fame or wealth; instead, he sought to serve others. That is reflected throughout his entire professional career and his education at Texas A&M Law School. There are many great lawyers in the State and great lawyers who have attended Texas A&M Law School, but few will show a more profound devotion to their community and helping people than Matthew Jackson. He is truly a man who lives for the reward of knowing that other people feel seen and loved. In his free time, Matthew enjoys playing golf, watching movies, and spending time with his son.
